Embassy of Denmark in Serbia and Slavko Curuvija Foundation launched “Advancing Media Freedom in Serbia” project

With the support from the Embassy of Denmark in Serbia, Slavko Curuvija Foundation (SCF) has just launched its “Advancing Media Freedom in Serbia” project.

Through this project, SCF will work on informing general public in Serbia about issues relevant to the freedom of media in Serbia – especially in regards to local media outlets.

The main platform for this will be the “Cenzolovka” website (www.cenzolovka.rs).

The website, initially supported by the embassy of Australia in Serbia, will provide news, study reports, analysis and expert opinions on different issues relevant to media freedom as well as processes that critically influence the level of media freedom in Serbia.

A part of the grant will also be used to organize study trips for local media owners and managers to Denmark, where they will learn about business models that could help build economic sustainability of their own media outlets.
