Over the past four years, the security of journalists in Serbia has been addressed by the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, which includes representatives of journalists&#8217; associations, the police and the Republic Public Prosecutor&#8217;s Office.<\/h2>\n<p>The new working group will comprise representatives of the Prime Minister&#8217;s Office and several ministries, as well as representatives of the prosecution, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Serbia and journalists&#8217; and media associations, while the Serbian Ombudsman is also a member of the body.<\/p>\n<p>The formation of this working group was announced at the end of November by Prime Minister Ana Brnabi\u0107, who pointed out at the time that the safety of journalists represents a red line, adding that\u00a0the Government of Serbia will not tolerate any threats or the physical endangering of journalists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>December 15, 2020 The
