The windscreen of a car owned by Nenad Živadinović, journalist of the critical news portal ritamgrada [rhythm of the city], has been smashed in Kragujevac.

The portal’s editorial department released a statement insisting that they “want to believe that this is not a warning for a media company that writes independently, particularly given that the election campaign is in underway, but rather just a one-off incident.”

Other vehicles parked in the vicinity of Živadinović’s weren’t damaged. Police conducted an inspection and launched an investigation, with UNS [the Association of Journalists of Serbia] calling on them to find the perpetrator as soon as possible.
